Home Care Intensive Series | Peer & Practice

Dallas, TX: Oct 19 & 20th. Twenty home care owners. A plan you actually walk out with.

A one-day working session for home care owners doing $1M–$6M in revenue, covering leadership, office systems, and team incentives, co-hosted by former A Place for Mom Home Care Sales Enablement Manager, and former SVP of Customer Experience at BrightStar Care.

See You In Dallas.

One focused day to work on the business behind your growth.

The Home Care Intensive is a full-day working session for a small group of home care owners and operators, preceded by a hosted peer dinner the evening before.

Attendance is intentionally limited to create space for meaningful conversation, practical exercises, and direct application to your own agency. Throughout the intensive, you will work alongside other owners and experienced facilitators to strengthen the leadership, business protocols, and team performance systems that support your next stage of growth.

You will leave with work already completed, tools built for your agency, and a clear plan for putting them into practice.

The Experience:

Monday Evening | Hosted Peer Dinner

The experience begins Monday evening over dinner, where you will meet the other owners and operators joining you for the intensive.

A guided peer exercise will invite each attendee to bring a current business challenge to the table. Together, the group will unpack those challenges, exchange perspectives, and begin learning from the experiences represented in the room.

The dinner creates an opportunity to build familiarity and trust before the working session begins the following morning, allowing Tuesday's conversations to start with greater context and depth.

Tuesday | The Home Care Intensive

Tuesday is a full day dedicated to working on your agency.

The day combines facilitated learning, workbook exercises, peer discussion, and hands-on planning across three areas that directly influence an agency's ability to grow:

  • Leadership & Delegation
Create greater clarity around roles, decision-making, and where authority needs to move as your agency grows.

  • Business Protocols & Intake Performance
Examine how opportunities move through your business, identify operational bottlenecks, and establish stronger protocols around intake, follow-up, accountability, and growth. The Business Protocol Workbook provides the framework for applying this work directly to your agency.

  • Gamified Incentives & Reward/Recognition
Identify the performance metrics that matter most and build a meaningful incentive structure around the behaviors and outcomes you want your office team focused on.

Each session includes time to apply the work directly to your own business, with the day building toward a focused action plan you can carry forward after the intensive.

Tuesday Evening | Hosted Happy Hour

We'll close the day with a hosted happy hour, giving the group time to continue conversations, exchange ideas, and connect after a full day of working together.

All specific venue locations to be announced soon!

What To Expect

  • An intimate room of 20 owners doing $1M–$6M in revenue

  • Real peer exchange: you bring a problem, and the table works through it with you

  • A workbook and an action plan, built as you go throughout the day

  • Two facilitators who have been in your shoes and work with small businesses every day

  • No sponsors, no vendor pitches, just owners and operators talking honestly about what's actually working

Who This Event Is For:

  • Owners doing $1M–$6M in annual revenue, and growth has stalled somewhere you can't quite name.

  • You run 1 to 5 locations (most of the room will be running 1–3) — big enough to need real systems, small enough that you still feel every hire personally.

  • Your service line is personal care, private pay — this isn't built for skilled/medical lines or centralized intake models.

  • Your name is still on more seats in the org chart than you'd like it to be.

  • You've got a team, but not the tracking to know who on it is actually driving results.

  • You'd rather spend the day working the problem with other owners who've been exactly where you are.

Owners can bring along their second-in-command (COO, DO, ED, or partner, i.e.) who is helping driving culture and accountability day-to-day. Contact jordan@momentumhtconsulting.com to request the access code for a Plus-One ticket at our $300 ticket rate.

Curriculum Focus Areas

  • Leadership & Delegation

A repeatable framework for role clarity and delegation. Leave with a decision-rights matrix and an action plan.

  • Office Protocols & Accountability

A session on intake best practices and a documented protocol for your own agency. Leave with real findings on your own team and a first-call checklist ready to use.

  • Gamified Incentives & Reward/Recognition

A playbook for gamifying the metrics that matter, paired with a reward system to keep your team engaged and retained.

Event Hosts

Why These Two Are Leading the Room.

Peer and Practice is co-led by two operators who've each spent their careers on a different half of the same problem.

Jordan Kandt is VP of Strategic Initiatives at Momentum Healthcare & Technology Consulting, a certified small business consultant with close to ten years coaching home care owners on intake and team performance - previously at A Place for Mom and a national marketing agency - and an owner-operator herself of a Kansas City home service business she's grown 3x.

Leslie Waddell spent nearly 14 years leading learning, development, and change management for BrightStar Care and Comfort Keepers - two of the largest home care franchise systems in the country - before going independent to work directly with owners on leadership and operations through TLD.

Together, the event covers both halves: who's leading, and whether the systems underneath them can carry the growth.

Jordan and Leslie designed the intensive around a shared goal: help owners turn good ideas into practical changes they can actually take back to their businesses. Through focused work on leadership and delegation, business protocols and intake performance, and team incentives and recognition, attendees will leave with greater clarity around what may be holding their agency back, tangible tools they have already started building, and a focused plan for what to tackle next.

“We want attendees to feel heard, supported, and connected to other owners navigating many of the same challenges. Small business ownership can feel lonely, and this event is an opportunity to create a community where owners can openly share, learn from one another, and work through challenges together without noise. Most importantly, we want you to leave with meaningful connections and tangible takeaways that continue to provide value for years to come.

The Delegation Ladder

A practical exercise designed to help leaders take an honest look at what is currently sitting on their plate and decide what they should keep, delegate, or eliminate. Attendees will identify who should own key responsibilities, where those responsibilities should live within the organization, and the first steps needed to make the transition.

The exercise then turns those decisions into action by asking attendees to plan their first delegation conversation, including who they need to meet with, what they will hand off, and what successful ownership should look like 30 days later.

The Home Care Intake Call Guide

The practical guide helps agencies map the full inquiry journey, establish expectations for timely follow-up, and use their own data to understand where opportunities are being lost. The goal is to leave with a repeatable tracking process that creates accountability and gives leadership better visibility into what is actually driving starts of care.
